Hotel Daniela, named after the great ski champion, Daniela Zini, who is still considered to be one of the best slalom racers of all time.
Belonging to the Italian national racing team for some 15 years, Daniela represented Italy in two Olympic games (Lake Placid and Sarayevo) earning herself 2 golds in the Sofia Olympics in 1983. She also participated in 3 world ski championships (Garmish, Schladming and Bormio) achieving a bronze at the Schladming Slalom in 1982.
Her career bagan as a professional skier when she was very young, with her brother as her first instructor, who she often out lasted in the snow, would leave her to practice. Her independence unique style and strong will to succeed are values that have earned her her place in History.
The Hotel is therefore aptly named as it too shares these values, built up by Daniela’s family in her honour; the Hotel proudly bears the name and the legacy.
